Change in Sanitation Service

Effective Monday, March 3rd change in the days Sanitation Service is provided for about 10,000 households in District 9 and 10 (combined) will take place.

The L Streets (CW 1089) will change to:

1. Regular Garbage Collection Days = Tuesday and Friday

2. Recycling Days = Friday “B” Schedule (Dark Pink)

b. http://www.lstreets.org/calendar.html

While City staff expects most residents will receive and adjust easily to the new service day schedule, they do anticipate that some will be confused. Should you encounter “missed garbage” and “missed recycling” during this transition period, don’t worry – City staff is prepared to send a truck to collect the materials from those households – and to courteously remind the resident of the new schedule. Should you have further questions regarding this change in service, please feel free to contact our Sanitation Department by dialing (214) 670.3496 or email Mary Nix, sanitation director: mary.nix@dallascityhall.com
