Assistance for OIF/OEF Veterans

Veterans are great leaders, innovators, decision makers, and members of America’s next greatest generation. Some of those qualities can be temporarily sidelined once service members return home. The goal of the Center for BrainHealth is to equip veterans with the necessary tools needed to cope with the stress of trauma and transition, in order to get America’s highly effective leaders successfully integrated back into society.

Chief on the Beat Crime Prevention Safety and Health Fair

The Dallas Police department Northeast Patrol Division is hosting its annual Chief on the Beat Crime Prevention Safety and Health Fair on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Lakehighlands High School, located at 9449 Church Road. 

The fair will start at 10:00am and end at 2:00pm.  If you would like to volunteer in some capacity please contact:

Sustainability Green Bag Event, February 20

Tax Assistance Available

AARP tax assistance will be available on Thursdays from 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm beginning February 7 on the 6th floor of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library.  AARP assistants will help anyone.

These services are free.

AARP specialists can file your returns electronically.

For best results please bring Proof of Identification, your W-2, 1099 or any other current year tax information to fill in your form and a copy of your last year's tax return (if available).

Other information which may be required:
Social Security Cards for you, your spouse, and dependents and/or a Social Security Number verification letter issued by the Social Security Administration.
Birthdates for you, your spouse, and dependents listed on the tax return.
Bank routing numbers and Account Numbers for Direct Deposit.
