City to Spray Northeast of White Rock Lake
Updated Mosquito Spray Boundaries Dallas - The City of Dallas has updated the mosquito spray boundaries for Monday, August 8 and Tuesday, August 9 northeast of White Rock Lake.
The City confirmed mosquitoes collected from the area tested positive for West Nile Virus. Dead birds were also reported.
Updated Mosquito Spray Area, August 8 and August 9 City staff will spray the area between 10:30 p.m. Monday, August 8 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 9. The area to be sprayed is bordered on the north by Northwest Highway East, on the east by Lake Highlands Drive East and Northcliff Drive, and on the west by Peavy Road, Van Dyke Road and Classen Drive.
NOTE: Attached is a map outlining the spray area for Monday August 8 and August 9. Spraying can only be effective if winds are below 10 miles per hour. Residents in treatment areas are advised to remain indoors, keep pets inside and avoid contact with the spray.
