Coming … Children’s Playground At Library Corner

At the Board meeting of the Audelia Library Friends this morning, we learned that a new playground is to be built in the next few months. It will be located on the northwest corner of library property at Church Road and Ravensway, across from Northlake Elementary School. This is a joint project between the Dallas Parks Department and Dallas Library. It will provide a place for young children in the 2 to 5 age range to play under the supervision of their parents while waiting for other library activities. At this point the popular weekly Storytime sessions attract 100 small children. During the school year the Northlake playground is not open for the small children so this will provide a safe, well-equipped area for parents to bring their children. Construction is expected to start soon and should be finished by the end of the year.
